This was past of a monastery build by King Ashoka at Taxila when Buddhism flourished there in the 3rd century BCE. The monks wearing orange robes and walking around the stupa are not there today.
but are imagined as they may have looked long ago.
The form of the stone steps is based on a drawing that Ghafoor himself made on paper.
