Ruin of Palmyra
Rabab(1997)
Palmyra flourished from the 3rd through 1st centuries BCEas a trade center along the Silk Road.
Then in the 3rd century CE a Roman invasion left much of the city in ruins.
Although Palmyra is well documented,no aerial photograph was available, and parts of the model are imagined.
Toothpicks were used to create the columns.
