Kisom Bo's hometown is deep in the mountains of the Papua New Guinea highlands. When he was a child he went hunting with his father and they caught a bird of paradise. They needed the wings for a ceremony. Nowadays it is forbidden to hunt the bird of paradise.
The river is divided into sections for different uses; washing vegetables, washing the tableware, washing clothes,and finaly the area for bathing.
